However, the voices of the sceptics were stronger and it was constantly claimed that we would be disbanded. Logically, the reorganisation had to take place, because months were passing by and the B.A. squadron was not getting weapons and there was no hope that it would ever get them. The C. mortar squadron, after a long wait, received all its equipment. Only the CKM. squadron received everything quite quickly and it was immediately apparent that this one would hold out. Indeed the rumours were different, but in general contours they coincided. In the first days of March, just before the review by General Montgomery, the fact became a fact.
The Support Arms Battalion was to be wound up or rather restructured into a C.K.M. squadron with some additions. All members of the Antiaircraft Squadron were to leave for other detachments, in a battalion of the Brigade² and an armoured regiment, except for a few transferred to the C.K.M. Squadron.
