He landed in Normandy in August 1944 and was a crew member of Rudolf Salwiczek (pseudonym Rudolf Jurand) in a Bren carrier. Together with Rudolf they journied through France and Belgium to participate in the liberation of Breda in October 1944. With Rudolf he was billeted with the Kerstens family during the winter of 1944/45. After the war he decided to go back to Poland. In 1974 he participated in the 30 year rememberance festivities of the liberation of Breda hosted by his best friend Rudolf Salwiczek (my father) I also met with him and he gave me his business card. This was the last I had contact with him. Any more information will be very much appreciated. Peter R. Salwiczek
