Kazimierz Duda C.K.M. Band of Brothers CHRONICLES DOCUMENTS

The Germans, entrenched in good bunkers, held on and could not be removed. There are active patrols on both sides. We took some prisoners from one of their patrols.
On the morning of 8 October, the following were wounded: private first class Malkiewicz (very seriously), sergeant Dębek and sergeant Głąbka.
The platoon is incomplete and exhausted. There is no one left to lead the quarrymen.
On 9 October the Podhale battalion took over from the 9th battalion. The 2nd platoon was relieved by the 3rd platoon.
It was necessary to disband the 1st Platoon in order to reconstitute the 2nd and 3rd Platoons. The men are exhausted and frightened by our heavy losses.
