That same day, our troops reached the suburbs of Breda.
The fighting continues in Ginneken.
The Germans retreated behind the canals.
On 30 October, Breda is captured by the 1st armoured division.
The Germans did not succeed in blowing up all the bridges over the canal that runs through the centre of the city. The city was captured thanks to a quick attack of the infantry units of the 3rd Infantry Brigade which gave the opportunity to quickly throw the enemy out of the city, pushing them northwards.
