Combat action of the CKM Squadron

As mentioned above, the CKM Squadron was usually deployed to the infantry battalions to support the activities of the battalions - strictly speaking the companies in those battalions.
The commanding of the entire squadron took place only once in the Langannerie- Grainville defensive action. Apart from this, the influence of the squadron command on the action of the C.K.M. platoons in the battalions was zero and their use was entirely up to the battalion commander or the company to which the platoon was assigned.
The squadron command provided the platoons with food, ammunition and equipment. In addition, the platoons were provided with minimal personnel complements, taken from the economic post or platoon.
Despite this isolation, the Commanders of the individual platoons were up to the task.
