Kazimierz Duda C.K.M. Band of Brothers CHRONICLES DOCUMENTS

A unit of over 400 men was disbanded1, a new unit was created2, and the rest of the men were delayed. It was clear who would go where, as lists had been prepared, but there was no order to leave. It was even worse with the officers, because they were listed in the squadron's inventory almost to the point of leaving for the concentration area. As a result, everything "fell apart" in the unit. Only the CKM. unit remained, the rest walked as they pleased without care or control. After the mobilisation was completed, there was a briefing of the troop leaders with English generals sent from the War Office3, who carefully checked for possible shortages, taking into account observations or changes in the troops. A month after Major Szajowski's departure, Cavalry Captain Kochanowski Marian, formerly commanding Officer of the Polish Air Force Squadron, was appointed to take charge of the CKM Squadron, and Cavalry Lieutenant Duda was appointed Deputy Commander of the Squadron.
(See squadron composition).
