Several officers were unhappy about being assigned to different units and they all expressed regret about this.
Major Szajowski, not liking Lieutenant Jedrzejowicz very much, started a discussion with him about reserve and professional officers. Condemning reserve officers with disdain, and placing professional officers above all else, he declared that "Reserve officers are scum! ... Let's see, what are your skills for example Mr. Lieutenant" etc. etc. Lieutenant Jędrzejowicz behaved properly and did not give in to the provocation. It may be mentioned that in the squadron, apart from Major Szajowski, there were no professional officers¹.
From that moment on, the matter became serious. Major Szajowski did not appear in the squadron and two days later he was transferred to the tank reserve squadron, then as second assistant to the anti-tank regiment and finally to the dragoon regiment.
Major Szajowski did not suffer any punishment or consequences as a result of his inappropriate behaviour, on the contrary, he was promoted after his outrageous attitude.
