Divided among the battalions, whether necessary or not, it lost its value as a moving weapon with high firepower and high mobility.
We can conclude that if it had been used as an independent unit in its entirety and equivalent to a Battalion it would have given more help to the infantry units than it could have done by being split into platoons and often even into squads and individual rifles.
In such a case it was just a crutch for the company or platoon leader.
Often the platoon also suffered losses, as it was easier for the infantryman to retreat than for the crew [of a carrier], who had to carry a heavy rifle with base and ammunition. In such reckless use of the CKM. the deaths over the Albert Canal of Sgt. Nycz and Sgt. Krasiński.
Retreating behind the infantry that had left them behind, and wanting to take their weapons they were shot from behind by the enemy.
